Breakout Session: Research and Creative Activity
Facilitators: Iraj Parchamazad and Jonathan Reed
- Full time grant writer for faculty under Provost-VPAA
- To get development to incorporate, into its mission, faculty research support
- Encourage faculty to apply for research support
- Ask for more faculty research seed money
- Create forums to celebrate faculty research including:
- Host a reception for a Board of Trustees, with poster sessions, demonstrations creative works, etc.
- Continue faculty lecture series and workshops
- Publicize at all faculty meetings and in flyers, etc.
- Include research and creative work in promotion process and compensation, after further input from faculty
- Integrate research with teaching while preserving our values and educational mission.
