- Provide bibliographic access to the resources, electronic, print and media accessed by the library.
- Perform original cataloging on all dissertations, other works where no shared cataloging exists.
- Authority control implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Implement the serials module, design projects for cleanup/cataloging of serials records.
- Identify and catalog digital resources relevant to the collection.
- Design and implement projects in database maintenance and clean-up.
- Develop policies and procedures for binding, archival collection and periodical retention as well as cataloging, catalog maintenance and periodicals.
- Train assistants in use of Innovative System, OCLC, Access and Excel.
- Provide reference services :
- Lecture on course-specific research methods for any course offered at the University.
- Consult one-on-one with students with specific research requests
- Field questions and assist library users during scheduled desk hours
- Design powerpoint presentations for classroom presentations
- Create webpages for classroom presentations
- Participate in faculty governance :
- Excellence in Writing Committee
- Retreat Committee
- Information Literacy Committee
- Advise students academically.
- Generate documentation.
