| How many times have
you asked yourself, "Why did that person do that?" or "What in
the heck was that person thinking?" I always have, and it is not
because I am nosey by nature (well, in part it is). It is
because I believe that understanding human behavior and what
influences these behaviors is so interesting. Exploring what
affects our behaviors and perceptions can lead to unlocking the
mysteries of why we do engage in these behaviors and what can
affect how we perceive things and people around us. We can also
use this knowledge to better relate to our families, coworkers,
friends, and even strangers.
As you will notice throughout this website, there are
pictures and backgrounds related to nature, or our environment.
As a social psychologist, I believe that much of our behaviors
can be explained by forces in the social environment, whether
that be our family, peers, or societal forces. |
