Assist the Vice President for Academic Affairs in the planning, management, evaluation, and direction of all academic activities at the University of La Verne with specific responsibilities for the following:
- Quality Management
- Direct operations of the Office of Quality Management including planning and finance
- Coordinate the evaluation of all courses, faculty, and programs on- and off-campus
- Drafted the Quality Management System Manual and guided it through approval
- Sat on ULV's WASC Steering Committee and helped draft ULV's Self-Study (1990)
- Grant Writing and Grant Management
- Wrote U.L.V.'s successful 1989 Federal Title III Grant Proposal
- Managed U.L.V.'s Title III grant, 1989-1993, including supervising all aspects of two major activities, preparing continuation requests, negotiating with the U.S. Department of Education, and participating in National Title III Workshops

Previous committee assignments included the Title III Advisory Committee (Chair), the Graduate Academic Policies Committee, and the Commencement Committee.
SCHOLARLY and PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
- Articles, papers, and research on European and California history, including one delivered at a conference of the European Consortium for Social Research in Strasbourg, France.
- Citrus Speaks: A Celebration of the Life of an Enduring Institution in the Words of Its Alumni, Faculty, and Friends (Glendora, California: Citrus Alumni Association, 1994).
- Current research: water development on the San Gabriel River, California.
- Eighteen months' study in the United Kingdom, including full participation in graduate seminars
at the London School of Economics and Political Science and at London's Institute for Historical
Research.
- Participation at numerous meetings and conferences for historians, Honors faculty, international student advisors, study abroad coordinators, grant writers, assessors of institutional effectiveness, articulation officers, military educators, veterans affairs coordinators, and Macintosh users.
- Presentations at the Conference of the National Collegiate Honors Council at Chicago in
November 1991 and the National Title III Workshop in Washington, D.C. in December 1991.
- Development of "Honors Discovery Walking Tours" for the Conference of the National Collegiate Honors Council at Los Angeles in October 1992.
