Biography:
Richard Harder is the Senior Training Consultant with the Employers
Group, Los Angeles and Senior Adjunct Professor, University of La
Verne, La Verne, CA. His work involves the development and
presentation of on-site and public seminars in leadership,
management and supervision. Mr. Harder also consults with client
management on organizational issues and problems.
Mr. Harder has held key administrative, human resource development,
management, and consulting positions in medium to large health
service, distribution, and manufacturing organizations during the
past twenty-five years. Prior organizational leadership positions
held include training and development manager, management
development instructor, director of human resources and regional
director of professional development.
He is senior adjunct professor in the school of organizational
management at the University of La Verne, La Verne, California where
he has taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels since 1980.
He is co-author of the fourth edition of the book entitled “An
Introduction to Healthcare Delivery: Organization, Functions, and
Management published by the Health Administration Press, Chicago,
Illinois.
Mr. Harder earned the master’s degree in management at California
State University, Los Angeles. His undergraduate degrees were earned
from California State University, San Francisco, and the City
College of San Francisco in business administration and hotel and
restaurant management respectively.
