Sunday, March 14, 20004, I participated in the L.A. Circuit Race in the Cat 5 divsion. Race went off at 2:30pm, and was very slow paced. It was a very easy first 30 minutes, until the cyclist in front of me half-wheeled my front tire with his rear wheel and took me hard into curb, which I was right next to because it was the right spot to shield from the 15 mph wind. Then, all I remember thinking and saying to myself, "I'm gonna crash". I woke up in Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital 3 hours later recovering from the crash, with a concussion, road rash, black eye and a set of stitches above my right eye. I didn't learn until 6:00pm that my beloved Cannondale suffered a worse fate than I; busted completely in two. I also never recovered my helmet or Rudy Project sunglasses, so much for the warranty. Bike is in rehad waiting for a new frame, and I'm anxious to ride again. Take a look a the Cannondale in the next entry. Take Care, Kevin.
