2006 Current Position - (Educause Biography)

Dr. Lisa Rodriguez is the Director of The Center for Teaching and Learning and Assistant Professor at the University of La Verne where she guides both the strategic and operational efforts of the Center and is responsible for leading and developing collaborative support for academic technology. She works closely with faculty to raise awareness, understanding, comfort, and skill levels in technology. She recently launched the certification for online teaching program for faculty who will teach new hybrid and online courses. In conjunction with the Chief Information Officer, Dr. Rodriguez monitors the effectiveness of the recent integration of the campus enterprise database and course management systems. Additionally, she is involved in the final stages of a campus-wide initiative to upgrade all learning spaces to smart classrooms, instructional technology research initiatives, and the design and implementation of campus educational technology and training assessments for students and faculty. Her current teaching assignment is Computers for Educators in the School Education and Organizational Leadership's Liberal Studies Program. Lisa holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Education from the Claremont Graduate University, and a B.A. in English Literature from California State Polytechnic University.
